This week, Simon speaks with Dr. Daniel Almeida.

He is a neuroscientist at the Douglas Research Center who studies the links between childhood abuse, trauma and suicide.

He has published his research in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is also active in educating others about mental health. He's been named to Forbes 30 Under 30 in Science (2020), and won the NIMH Outstanding Scholar in Neuroscience award in 2022.
